Follow the link below to a recent BBC article about the continued rise in popularity of text messaging.
“Some 4.825bn texts were sent in September 2007, equivalent to 4,000 every second.”
That is truly staggering, even to those of us providing text-based services. I mean, do a quick calculation and you’ll see that some people must be texting as a their main sport and hobby combined!
Are you missing out because you hate to text? Better get practicing, because at this rate we’ll soon stop talking altogether, and dropping the less popular vowels from our language! And if you don’t text by then… well, I just wouldn’t like to think!
